Linda and I met Liz Walker on May 25, 1974, at the Butler County Kennel Club dog show in Pennsylvania. Liz had shown her Maltese in Obedience and Conformation. When we met her, she was showing in conformation and so were we. Liz took us under her wing. She helped us in all aspects of caring for and showing a Maltese.

Thanks to Liz we were able to join The American Maltese Association in 1974. We also got to meet the top breeders and Maltese handlers with her help.  Liz was a good friend of Frank Oberstar and Larry Ward.  Linda and I went with Liz to Starward Maltese and met Frank Oberstar and Larry Ward. Frank and Larry were very gracious hosts. We were able to purchase American and Canadian Champion Aennchen’s Poona Dancer’s crate and grooming table from Frank and Larry.
We also bought other items from Starward to help us get started in showing and breeding Maltese.Liz owner handled her American and Canadian Champion Lizara’s Karousel (Karri) to two AKC All Breed “Best In Shows”. Karri was the number 7 Maltese in the USA, in 1974 and the number 9 Maltese in the USA in 1975 by the Phillips System. Liz has been a very wonderful friend to Lin-Lee Maltese Exclusively since 1974.

Liz is owner of the last Maltese that my beloved Linda bred. Her name is Linlee’s A Thousand Stars (Twinkle Star).

Liz and I are working with our wonderful friend, Janet Licate.  We had four of Janet's Maltese to show in 2003 and 2004.  Liz had Candlewyck Brillant Star, "Glitter", who finished her championship with David Fitzpatrick.

Liz also had Candlewyck Reach For The Stars, "Traveler".  (Pictured at the right)  Traveler is out of my "KT" and Janet's "Lyric".

The first time Traveler was shown at the Grand River Kennel Club Match, he went Best in Match and Best Over All.

Head shot of Traveler.

The Canfield, Ohio shows were next for Liz and Traveler.  They won Winners Dog all four days and Traveler finished his championship undefeated with one 3 point major and two 5 point majors.  Liz then took Traveler to Canada and where he received his Canadian Championship.

All four of Janet's Maltese are now AKC Champions.

Liz has always been a “Wonderful Friend” and I thank God I know her.
